About
George Cater is an Associate Private Wealth Manager dedicated to helping clients build and preserve wealth through innovative, non traditional strategies. A former college athlete, George earned dual bachelor's degrees in Legal Studies and International Political Science from Park University, where he also served as a mentor, writing tutor, and interned with the Federal Public Defender’s Office and a leading employment law firm.
Following graduation, George honed his relationship-building skills working in fine dining before transitioning to the insurance and financial services industry. At a State Farm agency, he became a sales leader specializing in life insurance and income protection. He later advanced his expertise at New York Life Insurance Company, developing a strong background in advanced life insurance strategies and business succession planning.
Most recently, George worked as an advisor at Prevail Strategies where he focused on tax-free strategies, executive benefit planning, and developing multiple streams of income for retirement planning. Moreover, he acquired knowledge and experience with private investments, and integrating them into financial plans.
Today, George serves as an Associate Private Wealth Manager where he focuses on tax planning, tax strategy, and philanthropy. He is passionate about empowering individuals, families, and business owners to secure a more confident financial future through education, personalized planning, powerful investment strategy, and unreasonable hospitality.
Outside of the office, George enjoys spending his time with family, his dogs, collecting wine & spirits, and golf. He also enjoys volunteering time to support various causes as the Vice President of the Rotary Club of Johnson County, and is an avid lover of dogs.
